VERGUS (2001)
Ferro x Giorgio
We are very blessed to have a direct Ferro mare.
The legendary Olympic Ferro is a foundation sire whose influence is still felt long after his death in 2005 aged 18. He was particularly valued for his exceptional temperament and outstanding use of the hindleg, with a brilliant attitude to his work that has been passed on to his offspring. He was not only a successful dressage stallion, but also scored well in the jumping sections of his performance test, with comments that he showed a good technique over a fence and powerful gallop.
As a three-year-old, Ferro was champion at Ermelo. He won team silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games (where he finished individual 6th), the 1999 European Championships and the 2000 Olympic Games.
Although, primarily a dressage stallion, his offspring have infiltrated both the eventing and show jumping circuits.
Sootie is the dam of our 2020 gelding KING FRANK (by Incognito) now SOLD. She is also an advanced dressage horse in her own right.
Unfortunately due to missed twins in 2021 by a previous veterinarian, subsequent death of both the foals and a complicated dystocia, Sootie has been retired from breeding.
